Pretty Much Just Organizing

Yesterday most of what I did was organizing. I was expecting to do stuff with the butterflies, and I did find a few stray ones in the back room, but overall I pretty much just helped clean up and organize. Lauren wasn't there again but she had left a list of things I could get done. I kind of get the gist that I'm not expected to finish the tasks that I'm given, but I still like to complete as many as I can.

When Lauren first came back, I told her that I really enjoy organizing, so ever since then I've become a designated pin organizer. We use pins you could put in a corkboard quite a lot, and they're all different colors. If on a cocoon board a butterfly fails to emerge (basically dying in the cocoon), we mark where the cocoon was with a blue or black pin. If it came out but couldn't fly, it gets a red or orange pin. We can organize our data better with the pins and track what's going on. Basically, we go through a lot of pins. Occasionally, the plastic boxes that store and organize our pins will be dropped- making the pins go everywhere. Or, when people take the empty cocoons, string, glue, and pins off a cocoon board,  they don't put the pins back and organize them.

I'm reasonably fast when it comes to organizing, especially all these pins, and as the intern I'm usually given the task of organizing a lot of pins. So that's pretty much all the stuff I did. I did also manage to clear off a board of cocoons, and got to see some of the butterflies while walking around. I honestly don't mind menial tasks like that. It's stuff that needs to get done and I get to listen to music while doing it.
Some Red Peacocks, a Rice Paper, and some yellow ones I don't know the names of.
